Finding her calling
Head girl Kirandeep started her sixth form journey with an interest in becoming a forensic psychologist, but since studying chemistry at a-level, she’s discovered a new passion.
“It wasn’t until I started studying here that I realised how much I loved chemistry,” she said.
“Now I’m determined to study it at university and start a career in science. It’s really a testament to the teachers here, who’ve been so passionate about the subject themselves.”
While she’s been heavily focused on her upcoming exams, Kirandeep has balanced work with extracurricular activities, and her role as representative of her classmates.
“I went on the trip to Singapore and it was genuinely one of the best experiences of my life. I’m so grateful to have been given that opportunity,” she said.
“As head girl I’ve been responsible for helping to organise our end of year prom. As we’re the first student to finish a-levels here, we want it to be a really special event.”
“We just want to make sure everyone has a great time and can celebrate after all their hard work.”
