Love learning in
the big city

Studying here at University College Birmingham puts you right at the heart of an amazing city – so why not make the most of it while you're here?

Maybe you already live in Birmingham, or this could even be your first time in the city. Wherever you're from, we want you to get the best out of your time here and make the most of all that 'Brum' has to offer.

Getting here

One of the best things about studying in a big city like Birmingham is it's easy getting around. You can hop on a bus to and from pretty much anywhere in Brum, while our campus is just a few minutes' walk from all three of the city's main railway stations. And then there's the Metro lines too!

If you're coming from further away, Birmingham is really well connected to the rest of the Midlands and beyond. Whether you live anywhere from Wolverhampton, Walsall and Solihull to Coventry, Kidderminster or Cannock, we've got great transport links to connect you to campus.

Getting out and about

Got free time between classes? Want to grab a bite with some friends? Or just looking for somewhere fresh to get some quite study time in? Whether you want to eat, work or relax, you're spoilt for choice in Brum.

University College Birmingham is only a few minutes' walk from some awesome eating spots, cosy cafes and all kinds of shops. And if you need somewhere else to study, the massive Library of Birmingham is right next door to our Baskerville House building – it's even got its own balconies and rooftop gardens!

But if the hustle and bustle isn't your vibe, this city's still got you covered. There's loads of parks and green spaces you can check out near our campus. Chill in the peace and quiet at St Paul's Square, say hi to the pigeons at Cathedral Square, or just take a stroll along the city's winding canals.
