"I bring practical experience from running my own skincare business, serving almost 300 clients, and coaching marketing growth to other Aesthetics business owners."

Known to most as Zee, I’m a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) with expertise in Aesthetics, Inclusivity and Diversity, Wellbeing, Business, and Research.

I bring practical experience from running my own skincare business, serving a diverse range of clients, and coaching marketing growth to other Aesthetics business owners. I’ve also shared my knowledge through online webinars and talks at industry conferences, including a recent presentation at the Tones of Beauty conference (the UK’s top multicultural beauty event).

I strive to inspire my students by sharing my real-world industry experiences, encouraging problem-solving, and bringing my fresh ideas into the mix.

Within our industry, a common myth I encounter is that Aesthetics is easy. In fact, it involves considerable science and critical thinking skills. Having served almost 300 clients, I understand the importance of knowledge, problem-solving, and careful thought to deliver meaningful results that boost confidence and quality of life.

My advice to students is simple: read widely. Reading broadens academic knowledge, enhances practical skills, and sharpens critical thinking - these are essential tools for success at university.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking and am currently completing an MSc in Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing. When I’m not outdoors, I’m likely watching Columbo on repeat! I also volunteer as a mentor for vulnerable young people with Birmingham’s Children Trust - a role that’s important to me.
