"Some of my career highlights include a Marketing role for ITDC Hotels, leading rebranding efforts for Chiltern Hotel, and spearheading international strategy development for the British Contact Lens Association."

My areas of expertise include International Business and Global Strategy, Leadership and Organisational Behaviour, Marketing and Branding, Curriculum Innovation, Digital Learning, and Tourism and Hospitality Management. I teach a range of modules at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, and I supervise Applied Masters Projects.

Throughout my professional journey, I gained valuable experience across multiple sectors, including hospitality, healthcare, professional associations, and community organisations. Some highlights include managing marketing for ITDC Hotels in India, leading rebranding efforts for Chiltern Hotel in the UK, spearheading International Strategy Development for the British Contact Lens Association, and coordinating Social Enterprise work in the criminal justice sector. These varied roles gave me a strong foundation in real-world business, which I weave into my teaching to ensure students benefit from practical insights alongside theory.

I’m passionate about bridging the gap between academia and the business world, with a particular focus on Sustainability, Leadership, and International Business. What drives me most is seeing students apply complex theories in real-world contexts, especially when they realise that leadership and strategy are accessible tools for everyone - not just senior executives.

I was drawn to teach at UCB because of its commitment to applied learning and student support, which aligns well with my teaching philosophy. Students often tell me that they appreciate how I relate complex concepts to practical business scenarios, making learning interactive and relevant through activities such as role-playing. My advice to students is to engage fully in university life - participate in discussions, collaborate on group projects, and take advantage of networking opportunities.

Outside of work, I enjoy stargazing, birdwatching, trekking, creative writing and storytelling. A quote that resonates deeply with me is by Abraham Lincoln: “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”
