"I ensure that my students build key skills that will help in their future careers. Skills such as communication, organisation, professionalism and teamwork are just as important as practical ability."

I built my career across sport, fitness and leisure management, holding senior roles such as sports development lead,  leisure manager and general manager in commercial fitness settings, and I have a strong coaching background in football as a coach, manager and club chairwoman. I also have experience working abroad in France.

Thanks to my professional experiences, I’m able to bring real industry experience into our classroom. I focus on helping students understand how sport works beyond just participation and I ensure that my students build key skills that will help in their future careers. Skills such as communication, organisation, professionalism and teamwork are just as important as practical ability.

Students say that they enjoy my lessons because they’re grounded in real-life experience and offer a clear picture of what working in the industry is actually like.

I aim to create a supportive environment where students can develop both their skills and their confidence.

Within my industry, I’m most inspired by the growth of women’s sport and the way the sector continues to evolve, with ever-increasing opportunities for people to get involved.

Outside of work, I enjoy watching football, playing padel, travelling and listening to The Diary of a CEO podcast. I’m also currently studying for an MSc in Sports Coaching.
