"My career began at sixteen years old as a Maths and English tutor, before I progressed to founding my own Tutoring business. Now, I draw on that entrepreneurial background and extensive marketing expertise to connect learning directly to the skills students need in today’s fast-evolving industry."

With expertise in Digital Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Social Media Marketing, Educational Entrepreneurship, and Higher Education Teaching and Learning, I teach on the following courses: BA Digital Marketing, MSc Marketing Management, BA Business Management, and BA Business and Enterprise.
My career began at sixteen years old as a Maths and English tutor, before I progressed to founding my own Tutoring business focusing on 11+ and GCSE preparation. Over the past twelve years, I’ve designed and delivered tailored programmes for learners of all ages and now lead a team of tutors dedicated to making education inspiring and accessible.
While studying at Coventry University, I contributed to The Marketing Society by managing its social media content and newsletters. This hands-on experience not only enhanced my practical skills but also fuelled my passion for Marketing by linking theory directly to industry application. I also worked as a Brand Ambassador and in B2C (business to consumer) sales, which honed my expertise in Communication, Lead Generation, and Client Engagement.

Qualifying as a lecturer enabled me to bridge professional experiences with educational practice, teaching Business and Marketing across Secondary Schools, Colleges, and now at the University Level. At UCB, I draw on my entrepreneurial background and extensive marketing expertise to connect learning directly to the skills students need in today’s fast-evolving industry. I regularly collaborate with external partners, organise guest lectures, and engage with employers to ensure students gain exposure to real-world challenges. Presenting at the British Conference of Undergraduate Research stands out as a personal highlight of my lecturing career.
I strongly believe that marketing is not just about advertising, but about understanding people - what drives their behaviour, needs, and choices. My teaching challenges common misconceptions by showing how marketing blends research, problem-solving, and creativity to make a meaningful impact.
My students respond positively to the energy and enthusiasm I bring to each session, and I take great pride in watching my students develop confidence, apply their knowledge, and embark on their own careers.
I encourage all UCB students to take every opportunity to apply their learning, get involved beyond the classroom, and embrace challenges as they’re essential for growth. I strive to create a supportive environment in my classroom, listening carefully to students’ concerns and offering practical strategies, resources, or extra support to help them succeed.
Outside of work, I’m mum to my young son, and I recharge through spending time in nature. I’m also addicted to Gilmore Girls. My favourite quote is: “You only live once, so take every opportunity you can.”
