Job Role & Responsibilities

Teaching within Creative Services across Beauty Therapy programmes, in particular first year level 2 where learners are being introduced to the fundamental technical, social and soft skills that are needed within the Beauty Therapy industry. Pastoral support to learners with a range of learning and social differences. Support and inspire the next generation of beauty therapists.

Profile

Skevi is a dedicated Lecturer with an expansive career in Beauty Therapy, since 2001. This has included owning and managing two successful company's over a 12 year span: a Beauty Salon in the West Midlands and a Women's Wellness business in London. With a love of travel, and the opportunity to blend with industry experience she has worked for Steiner on Royal Caribbean cruise ships as a spa therapist and later as Spa Manager. Also travelled and worked as an Inflight Beauty Therapist for Virgin Atlantic on long haul flights.Having worked closely with Elemis, Dermalogica, Clarins, Ionithermie, Australian Bodycare and OPI to name a few Skevi has first hand industry and on trend skills and knowledge across many career opportunities open to students.It all began studying Beauty Therapy at UCB 2000, with all the experience and a keen passion to train, support and pass on skills and knowledge, Skevi decided to train as a Lecturer in 2009 and achieved a Certificate in Education in 2011.
