"I’m a former UCB student and I thoroughly enjoyed every step of my learning journey here - largely thanks to the people who taught me. I aim to give the same positive experience to my students."

I teach Hairdressing at Levels 1, 2 and 3. I’ve taught in many further education colleges and delivered hairdressing apprenticeships, guiding students through all stages of their learning. I combine practical training with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the hairdressing industry. My industry experience has allowed me to mentor students, support their career progression and inspire many to build their own successful businesses.

There’s a misconception that hairdressing is low-paid or low-skilled, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s a career that mixes creativity with maths, science, and communication - and it’s also physically demanding. Once students have qualified and built a stable client base, they can set their own prices and grow a thriving business - it’s a career in which talent, confidence, and passion really pay off.

I’m a former UCB student and I thoroughly enjoyed every step of my learning journey here - largely thanks to the people who taught me. I aim to give the same experience to my students and I’m so proud to see them qualify and go on to build successful careers. I love watching my students work with clients in a busy salon, knowing that I’ve played a key role in getting them to that point.

I encourage my students to see every challenge as a chance to learn - the more they practice, ask questions and embrace new experiences, the faster they’ll grow.

Outside of work, I really enjoy cooking. And a little known fact about me is that I’m a massive Harry Potter fan.
