"One myth that I like to debunk about the aesthetics industry is that it’s 'easy' or 'superficial'. In fact, there’s a lot of anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and even physics involved."

My own professional journey started at UCB as a student, whilst working as a spa therapist. The hands-on experience opened doors for me, and within six months of graduating, I landed my first graduate role. Since then, I’ve managed multiple spas and clinics for some of the industry’s most reputable companies, delivering a wide range of treatments and developing my skills in both clinical practice, leadership and business management.

As a Lecturer in aesthetics, I now module lead and teach onLaser and Light Technologies, Chemical Peels, and business-focused modules such as Venture Incubator and Venture Concept. I love bringing industry experience into my teaching practices sharing knowledge and real life examples.

I’m proud of every stage of my career, from learning new treatments and managing teams, to handling challenging situations and mentoring spa therapists and aesthetic practitioners.

Lecturing at UCB gives me the opportunity to share my passion, guide students through their journeys, and watch their confidence grow. My students tell me they appreciate how I link everything back to the reality of the industry, explain things clearly, and create a space where questions are always welcome.

One myth that I like to debunk about the aesthetics industry is that it’s “easy” or “superficial”. In fact, there’s a lot of anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and even physics involved. Understanding the science behind treatments like laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation is what truly inspires me, as it involves a greater awareness of different skin types, conditions and how treatments are applied.

Outside of work, you’ll find me at the gym, shopping, or getting lost in a good book (my latest favourite is Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan). I’m also a fan of the TV series Yellowstone. A quote I live by is "expect nothing and appreciate everything".
