Academic qualifications
MSc Computer Science (Distinction), BSc (Hons) Information Technology
"With a solid foundation built through roles as a Web Developer, Software Configurator in cyber security, and UX/UI Engineer, I’m proud to share my expertise at the very place that supported and shaped my own journey as a student."

I’m passionate about bridging the worlds of UX/UI engineering, neural networks, programming, cyber security, and web engineering. I’ve worked as a Web Developer, Software Configurator in cyber security, and UX/UI Engineer. I have undertaken professional training in AWS cloud technologies and am actively working towards the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.
A highlight of my academic journey has been mentoring students for the WorldSkills UK digital competitions. I’m incredibly proud that, in the first stage, ten UCB students were entered, six progressed to the next round, and one was selected as a National Finalist - one of only 8 in the UK! I was honoured to receive two 2025 UCB Spotlight Staff Award nominations, one for ‘Inspirational Teaching’ and another for ‘Best Personal Tutor’. Students often tell me that they value my straightforward, focused approach in the classroom and my ability to make complex concepts clear and practical without using jargon.

I have a paper pending publication in the International Journal on Electrical Engineering and Informatics, exploring how the Internet of Things (IoT) and computer vision can transform greenhouse crop yields. What continually inspires me in this field is the possibility of creating solutions that feel almost human, combining intelligence with empathy to solve real-life problems.
A common myth in our industry is that you need to be a “maths genius” or a coding expert to get started. In reality, I’ve seen beginners with curiosity and persistence achieve more than those who begin with advanced skills, because learning and problem-solving matter most.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy immersing myself in innovative tech projects, such as those involving VR, robotics, interactive design and machine learning. I also enjoyed The Social Dilemma on Netflix, and my favourite quote is “less is more.”
