MSc. Software Engineering
"In my teaching, I aim to nurture not just coders, but inventive engineers who understand both the technical and human aspects of technology."

With expertise spanning C++, Python, .NET Framework, SQL and databases, Human-Computer Interaction, and Data Science, I offer a comprehensive perspective on software development. My focus lies in coding, frameworks, system performance, database design and optimisation, user experience and interface principles, and analytics and data visualisation.
I’ve spent three years as a software developer, specialising in .NET Framework for interface design (WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET) and delivery of complete SQL Server solutions - from database schema design and performance tuning to administration. My work integrates robust backend engineering with effective user-facing design, creating systems that are both scalable and user-friendly.
As a lecturer, I’m passionate about bridging theoretical concepts with practical skills. I aim to nurture not just coders, but inventive engineers who understand both the technical and human aspects of technology. I strive to demystify complex subjects using relatable examples, empowering my students to become creative problem-solvers who see the bigger picture behind the code.

One of my greatest professional achievements is seeing former students succeed in the tech industry, some of whom have even returned to UCB as colleagues. Teaching here is a joy - there’s a real sense of positive energy, collaboration, and a strong support network. Our students’ drive and enthusiasm inspire me daily, and the collaborative team environment makes even the toughest challenges rewarding.
My advice to students is: embrace learning with curiosity and joy. When you find fun in the process, education becomes an adventure, rather than a chore. Be open to new ideas, engage with classmates, and explore topics outside your comfort zone.
When I’m not at work, I stay active playing football for my local community team. People may be surprised to learn that my creative outlet is nature photography; I love capturing dramatic landscapes using my drone and camera. There’s a special kind of magic in finding the perfect shot as the light changes.
