Job Role & Responsibilities

My current role involves teaching across the level 7 modules of the MSc Dietetics course, module leadership, development of learning and assessment materials and marking of work. My role also extents into pastoral support for students as an academic personal tutor and providing support to students whilst they are out on placement.

Profile

I became a Registered Dietitian in 2019 and began my dietetic career leading the nutrition aspect of a 12 week weight management programme with Everyone Health across Warwickshire. I obtained a Band 5 dietetic post with South Warwickshire Foundation Trust in 2020 and progressed into a Band 6 Community post. During my time with the NHS I also completed an MSc in Sports and Exercise Nutrition. As part of my masters programme I was fortunate to secure a placement with Coventry City Football Club as a sport nutritionist.

My academic career began in November 2021 at Coventry University as an assistant lecturer and I joined University College Birmingham as a lecturer for the new MSc Dietetics provision in November 2023.

Teaching

I teach across the level 7 modules that make up the MSc Dietetics programme including module leading Clinical Dietetics: The Person-Centred Dietitian.
