I’m a trade-focused lecturer with expertise in plumbing, holding qualifications including NVQ Level 2, WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) and unvented hot water certifications. I teach plumbing on our Construction Multi-Skills course as well as Plumbing Levels 1 and 2, where I aim to blend theory with insights I gained during my hands-on professional experiences.

My career to date has been shaped by close collaboration with builders and Gas Safe engineers, particularly in domestic settings involving boiler and central heating installation and maintenance - an area in which I’m actively developing my skills. This practical experience enables me to guide my students toward efficient, professional installation techniques, ensuring that they are ready for apprenticeships, the workplace and beyond. I regularly attend construction events such as InstallerSHOW, as they keep me connected to industry trends and innovations - which I then bring back into my teaching.

Teaching trades excites me, and I’m most inspired by witnessing students overcome challenges and progress to the next level, proving that dedication and perseverance make all the difference. I take pride in striving for perfection in everything I do, and I aim to be approachable and patient with my students. I take time to demonstrate practical tasks until students really understand.

In my spare time, I’m expanding my skillset by learning tiling and boiler installation, and I also enjoy ice skating. I’m fluent in Arabic, Urdu, and Pashto, and my favourite film is The Accountant.
