My students know me as Jenny, and I teach on our Early Years (Level 2), Early Years and Teaching Assistant (Level 3) and Support Teaching and Learning (Level 2) courses.
My varied career includes roles as a home carer, early years inspector, assessor, nursery manager, and nursery practitioner. I therefore bring practical, hands-on knowledge of the subjects I teach, meaning that my students gain authentic insight into the demands and rewards of our industry.
I often come up against the misconception that childcare is an “easy option”, but this assumption couldn’t be further from the truth. Childcare providers are doing complex and vital work in shaping our future generations.
At UCB, I really appreciate the opportunity to teach a variety of students and work within a supportive team. My students enjoy my clear lessons and the time I give them to complete assignments during class.
