BSc Honours in Computer Science and Software Engineering with Business Studies, Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)
"I’m inspired every day by helping students use digital skills to innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing world, and show them how theoretical knowledge translates into building intelligent systems that learn and evolve."

With certificates in Java Programming and Python with Machine Learning Training, I specialise in AI, web and mobile app development, programming, and software engineering.
My professional experience includes delivery of a data science project focused on predicting sentiment in Amazon cell phone reviews using LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) deep learning models. I regularly supervise student research projects in machine learning, AI, and mobile apps, supporting students from concept through to completion.
Beyond teaching, I also organised and hosted an Employer Lunch Event, forging strong links between industry leaders, professional bodies, and sector partners to ensure that digital education remains well-aligned with the evolving needs of the workforce and future careers. Additionally, I’ve contributed to sector conferences, delivering a session on ‘Accessible Digital Learning Tools’ to encourage inclusivity within AI-powered solutions.

My students tell me that they value my guidance and practical mentoring, including the supportive feedback I provide. I was incredibly proud to be nominated for awards for my ‘Inspirational Teaching’ and ‘Outstanding Feedback’, and I also received a nomination for UCB’s ‘Unsung Hero’ award.
I’m inspired every day by helping students use digital skills to innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing world, and show them how theoretical knowledge translates into building intelligent systems that learn and evolve. My proudest moments have been when I’ve helped students gain the confidence to progress into further study or employment in the tech industry. At UCB, I really value the opportunity to work within a diverse student community and foster an inclusive learning environment where every voice matters.
Outside of work, I’m constantly improving my computing knowledge through short courses, and I’m working towards my MSc in Advanced Computer Science. I’m also fluent in Urdu.
