Academic qualifications
CIOB Certificate and Diploma in Site Management, Craft and Advanced Craft Brickwork
"I’m fascinated by the end-to-end construction process, from initial site assessment to a quality finished build. I’m proud of my work with the 'Barratt' team to complete the construction of a show village in record time."

I’m a construction specialist with expertise in brickwork, assessing in building services, civil engineering, construction, and construction management. I teach brickwork on BTEC Built Environment at Levels 3 and 4.
My career started with a bricklaying apprenticeship, followed by a role as site engineer before moving into land buying for new site development. My range of experiences give me a full overview across construction - from the practical side to management and planning.
I’m fascinated by the end-to-end construction process, from initial site assessment to a quality finished build. I’m proud of my work with the Barratt team to complete the construction of a show village in record time.
I’m delighted to teach at UCB, and specifically working in our new dedicated construction centre. I love seeing my students’ enthusiasm for the industry, and they appreciate the practical skills they gain on the course from day one.
My advice for students still studying at school is to work hard on your English and Maths - gaining these qualifications early will give you a solid foundation for your future.
In my spare time, I play a variety of sports to stay active.
