"With 23 years in the beauty and aesthetics industry and 13 years teaching, I bring a wealth of real-world experience to help my students succeed."

With over 23 years in the beauty and aesthetics industry and 13 years teaching everywhere from schools and colleges to universities, I’ve witnessed first-hand the incredible evolution of our industry. I come with a range of real-world experience, having run my own business and worked as a brand trainer and promotions specialist. I’m passionate about bringing my industry expertise into my teaching, which I believe sets my students up for success in their chosen sector.

I currently deliver the Aesthetic FdA/BA, covering a range of modules. I have particular expertise in aesthetic consultation, gut health, clinic management, and retail and brand awareness.

I’m constantly inspired by the dynamism in our industry. There’s always something new to learn, and I love passing that excitement on to my students. It’s been a real privilege to be part of the first institution to offer a degree in Aesthetics, and to see it thrive for seven years now.

In the classroom, I’m open and honest about my own professional experiences with students, both the wins and the challenges. I believe that we learn best when we can see how theory translates into practice, which is why I think it’s important to balance academic knowledge with practical experiences. Watching my students grow in confidence and skill over the years is genuinely the best part of my job. In turn, I think my students appreciate that I’m approachable and honest.

On a personal level, I know what it takes to commit to studying when you’ve got other things going on. Achieving my postgraduate qualification while working at the university was one of my proudest (and most challenging!) accomplishments.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about nutrition and gut health research. I love yoga, going to the gym, and exploring nature. My favourite motto, and one I live by, is: “There is no growth in comfort.” I believe that you can achieve anything with hard work and determination.
