"I’ve spent over a decade leading major projects, including building a gas-fired power plant with Siemens AG and Fracture Facility Construction for ExxonMobil, and these experiences enable me to bring valuable real-world expertise into the classroom."

With over a decade of professional experience in Civil Engineering and Gas Engineering, I combine a strong practical background with a passion for teaching and research.

Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply involved in major infrastructure projects, including the construction of a gas-fired power plant with Siemens AG, as well as over twelve years in Fracture Facility Construction for ExxonMobil and other clients. This extensive hands-on experience allows me to bring real-world insights directly into the classroom, benefitting my students.

I hold an Associate Membership with the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM), and I’m also a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), and the Royal Institution of Surveyors in Construction (RISC). These professional affiliations reflect my commitment to maintaining high standards and staying current with evolving industry knowledge.

My specific expertise and interests include Sustainability, Urban Renewal, Infrastructural Development, Water Prospecting, Drilling, Water Supply, Treatment and Distribution, and Green Energy. One of my notable contributions to the field is my published paper on the use of offsite construction to address post-COVID-19 Housing Supply and Sustainability Challenges, presented at the UK-SEEDS conference.

I’m especially motivated by the idea of constructing sustainable infrastructure that meets rigorous environmental standards such as BREEAM (The Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) and other measurable frameworks. This is the idea of creating infrastructure that not only serves its purpose effectively, but that also contributes positively to humans and the environment. I love that I get to work alongside professionals who share this vision, contributing to meaningful projects and research that push the boundaries of sustainable development.

Having previously worked as a Research Assistant, it makes me happy to support students, and I take personal pride in their academic success. I value the diversity within my classes at UCB, as it enriches the learning environment. My advice to students is to be studious, proactive, and responsible, and make the most of every opportunity at UCB.

In my spare time, I engage in charity work and am also currently pursuing a postgraduate certificate. I live by the quote: "Patience and perseverance are a priceless virtue."
