Elodie Wakerley

I specialise in digital innovation, digital pedagogy, staff-student partnership and collaborative curriculum design. My focus lies in developing innovative digital teaching materials and practices within the Business School at UCB. My work aims to create inclusive, innovative learning environments that empower students as active participants in their education. I believe that digital tools and technologies can break down barriers to accessing education, foster inclusion, and open new paths for lifelong learning and creativity.

I’m most proud of my publications in academic journals and books, as publishing keeps me connected to current debates, and also provides a platform to influence positive change by introducing new ideas, improving educational practices, and challenging established thinking.

What I enjoy most about working with students at UCB is witnessing their academic and personal growth. Supporting them to build confidence, discover their interests, and realise their potential is incredibly fulfilling.

My advice to new students is to make the most of your university experience - not just academically, but socially as well. Build friendships, join activities, and explore everything university life has to offer alongside your studies. 

In my spare time, I enjoy learning new skills and exploring topics outside of my industry. I’m constantly energised and motivated by the experience of learning new things.
