"Before teaching, I held a range of roles in industry - from managing Café Rouge restaurants, to delivering projects for Birmingham City Council’s International Women’s Festival and the Birmingham Royal Institute for the Blind."

I bring extensive experience across business enterprise management, business management, hospitality and events management, as well as research methods. My teaching at UCB is focused on postgraduate study within the Business School, where I draw on a breadth of professional and research experience to engage learners in relevant, real-world contexts. I also deliver business modules in Hong Kong, as well as on-site in Birmingham.
Before entering higher education, I held senior management positions across the private, public, and charitable sectors. Some of my career highlights include: managing Café Rouge restaurants before progressing into a brand management role; working as an events consultant for Birmingham City Council’s International Women’s Festival; and managing the leisure provision for students at the Birmingham Royal Institute for the Blind. These roles provided a strong foundation in leadership, strategic management, and stakeholder engagement, and I use the insights I gained in my teaching at UCB.
I’m passionate about collaborating with industry partners and academic colleagues to ensure that students see the relevance of the concepts they are studying and fully understand how they apply in practice.
