"With over two decades of international experience in business, marketing, and hospitality across the UK, Canada, and Dubai, I bring a truly global perspective to preparing my students for the fast-paced world they'll enter."

I’m a Senior Lecturer at UCB, and I’m passionate about helping students thrive in business, finance, marketing, and hospitality management.

My professional journey started in hospitality and hotel restaurant management, working with Compass Contract Caterers in the UK. Seeking new adventures, I moved to Canada and began teaching at the Canadian Tourism College, where I worked my way up to Director of Education and Dean for over a period of 12 years. During my time in Canada, I qualified as a real estate agent and finance professional, gaining hands-on experience that I shared with my business and marketing students. Looking for my next challenge, I then moved to Dubai, where I became a Senior Lecturer at Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management and worked with Dubai Holdings and Jumeirah as a senior management trainer, course developer, and writer.

Now, back in the UK for two years, I’m proud to be a Senior Lecturer here at UCB, teaching business and marketing. I find that my international experiences allow me to bring global perspectives and best practices into my teaching. I make a point of staying active in the industry and of tailoring course content to current industry developments and changes in business practices, which means that my students are fully prepared for the fast-paced world they’ll enter.

I’ve been honoured with a UCB Unsung Hero award, but the real reward for me is seeing my students develop and succeed. Their growth is my top priority, and I’m constantly learning from them. I’m motivated by getting to know how my students learn and what they need from me as a teacher. My advice to students is to grow, be open to learning, and to always try to embrace new adventures.

When I’m not teaching, I love gardening, reading (especially crime novels by John Grisham), and spending time with family and friends. I don’t watch much TV, but I always have a good book on the go!
