With expertise in Events Management, Language and Linguistics, and Entertainment, I bring over 30 years of teaching experience and 20 years of practical work in the arts and entertainment industry. Throughout my career, I’ve developed a broad range of first-hand knowledge, experience, and anecdotes that I share to bring learning to life for my students.
What inspires me most about this field is the variety and non-routine nature of the industry. No two days are the same, and this dynamic environment fuels my passion for our industry.
I’m particularly proud of my achievements performing at national and international festivals, including the prestigious Sziget Festival in Budapest in 2023, and headlining the Scilly Isles Comedy Festival in both 2016 and 2021.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching work is watching students progress throughout their course of their studies, growing in confidence and ability. My students often tell me that they appreciate the fun, relaxed learning environment I create in the classroom. I encourage my students to ask any questions they have - as lecturers, that’s what we’re here for!
Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about performing, the arts, cooking, keeping fit, and writing.
