I’m a qualified mechanical engineer with over ten years of experience in industrial research and teaching, including work under the Ministry of Mines in India and with well‑known technical institutes. Alongside my teaching, I’ve published six journal papers and taken part in several international and national research conferences, which helps me bring current, research‑informed ideas into the classroom. Throughout my career, I’ve won many awards including ‘Youngest Scientist Award’ at ICMPIE-2018 International Conference in Thailand. I teach on our FE engineering courses at levels 2 3 and on our T‑Level Mechanical Engineering course.

My specific expertise focuses on design and analysis software such as CATIA, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and ANSYS, as well as material‑testing and machining tools including 3D printing, CNC turning, CNC milling and Finite Element Analysis

In my classroom, my students are able to experiment with Autodesk Fusion 360 - creating precise 3D models that build their problem‑solving skills and give them a chance to work hands-on with prototyping and materials.

A myth I like to challenge is that engineering is only about machines or “fixing things”, when it’s really about solving real‑world problems through sustainable design and innovation.

If I could give one piece of advice to new engineering students, it would be to write more on paper. While digital tools are useful, regularly writing by hand can help structure thoughts, retain information and improve problem‑solving skills, which are essential for a successful career in engineering.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new digital teaching tools and modern technologies, such as robotics.
