"As a former UCB student, I bring a unique insight into the classroom as I know what it’s like to study here. My lecturers created such an inspiring environment, and I’m passionate about doing the same."

As a former UCB student, I’m passionate about sharing my love for the hospitality and events industry with students on our Hospitality and Events programmes. I bring a unique insight into the classroom as I know what it’s like to be a student here. My own lecturers created such a supportive and inspiring environment that I wanted to be part of that energy myself. Now, stepping into a teaching support role, I get to see students develop and grow throughout the year, and that’s something I truly enjoy. I’m now also a proud member of the Institute of Hospitality.
Working on the Commonwealth Games as a Project Coordinator during my placement year was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and an experience I’ll always cherish. It gave me first-hand insight into the challenges and triumphs of large-scale event management, which I now bring into the classroom. For me, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of bringing people together and making them happy at a major event. Personally, seeing an event come to life after all the planning and hard work is the most rewarding part of the job.
Here at UCB, I’m motivated to help students in any way I can, whether it’s through advice, encouragement, or just a friendly chat. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel inspired to achieve their best. Based on my own experiences as a student, my advice is simple: break down your assignments into manageable chunks and find a learning style that works for you. Everyone is different, and it’s crucial to find what works best for you.
Outside of teaching, I love yoga, reading, and swimming. Fun fact: I've met former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson!
