University College Birmingham recently welcomed the Office for Students to its campus, with a visit from Chair Lord Wharton.
The visit saw Lord Wharton exploring the state-of-the-art facilities at the University (which has seen over £200 million investment), discuss curriculum development at the institution, understand the challenges seen by higher education providers across the country (including at University College Birmingham) and hear concerns from students over the cost of living.
Discussions were also centred around the University’s excellent TEF outcomes which saw the institution achieve three silvers in 2023 overall, student experience and student outcomes; and Whatuni awards in 2023 and 2022; its partnership with University of Warwick, the Access & Participation Plan; and student successes - in particular highlighting the skills and experiences which have positively impacted students’ future careers.
