Tourism Business Management student Anete Pieĉa has been announced as the first winner of the Tourism Management Institute David Hughes Memorial Award.
The Award celebrates the dedication and achievements of outstanding tourism students and was established as a tribute to the former president of the Tourism Management Institute, the late David Hughes.
Anete, 24, and from Latvia, impressed judges with both her passion for the tourism industry and the glowing reference she received following her successful work placement with Alpine Elements, working as a Chalet Supervisor in Austria.
