University College Birmingham has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sichuan Normal University (SICNU), strengthening the ties between the two institutions and fostering a new partnership that will see students and academics benefit. 

The MoU signing also saw an enterprising discussion around student exchange programmes and further collaboration that will enrich students and faculty alike, as well as drive innovation and collaboration between the universities. 

In a heartfelt gesture of cultural exchange and cooperation, Sichuan University gave the University a stunning piece of hand-embroidered panda wall art. This exquisite artwork not only showcases the fine craftsmanship and artistic traditions of Sichuan, the home of the giant panda, but also symbolises the deepening bond between the two institutions.

In return, University College Birmingham gifted Sichuan University a silver bull souvenir engraved with University College Birmingham, which is a fitting symbol of the city and our institution located in the Jewellery Quarter, which stands as a testament to the mutual respect and the robust collaboration between the universities.
