I completed a degree in Journalism at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design in 2003 and worked in local and national radio, before deciding on a career change. I have worked in academic libraries for more than a decade and have completed an MA in Library and Information Services Management and a PhD in Information Studies at the University of Sheffield. My MA dissertation studied the rationale for library classification scheme selection in UK higher education libraries. My PhD thesis explored the quality management of bibliographic metadata for e-books in UK higher education libraries.
My role at UCB is to oversee and maintain all systems and ensure online library resources are working effectively for students and staff. Additionally, I am responsible for overseeing the library’s acquisitions process for the print and online collections.
