Originally from the US, I completed my undergraduate degree in English and Journalism at Western Kentucky University. I taught writing and literature alongside my degree, edited the university’s newspaper and yearbook, and studied abroad at Harlaxton College, UK.
After graduation, I moved to the UK, where I completed my M.A. in English at the University of Birmingham in 2016 and moved on to a PhD about John Middleton Murry and 20th-century magazine editorship. While completing my PhD, I was a postgraduate teaching assistant in the English department, a writing advisor for the College of Arts and Law, and the editorial assistant for the Journal of Modernist Cultures.
I completed my PhD in 2020 and joined UCB as an Academic Librarian in 2021. In my role so far, I have taught in the classroom and during 1-1 appointments, contributed to building the library’s Subject Guides, and supported students and staff in developing their research and referencing skills.
