College interview evening schedule

Thank you for taking part in our college interview selection process, today's event will take place between 12 pm and 3 pm.

  • What do I need to do?

A tutor from the subject area you have chosen will call you and ensure that you have selected the course that best suits your career ambitions. If you haven’t attended an open day, you can find out more about the courses here. This will provide you with further course information to support your interview.

Interviews generally take no more than 15 minutes. As our tutors are calling from home, due to the current COVID guidance, the number that appears on your phone will be withheld. If you would like to find out more about our lecturing teams and who will be interviewing you please use our academic staff directory.

If you haven’t received a call from UCB by 6.30 pm, please contact us on live chat so we can check the number, we have for you is correct.

  • While you wait…

During this evening’s event, you have the opportunity to ask any questions via our live chat. One of our current college students, as well as our admissions staff, will be on hand to help. They will be able to answer all of your questions about what it's like to be a UCB student, as well as the admissions process, so please get in touch with us whilst you wait for your call from the teaching team.

You may also wish to book onto our next online open day.

  • What happens after my call?

If your interview is successful

The next day you will receive confirmation of your offer. You then need to respond confirming that you would like to accept the offer so that we can secure your place for this September.

If your interview is unsuccessful -

The next day you will receive confirmation from us about your interview assessment. Our admissions team will look at the course portfolio that we have on offer to see if there is a different course that would be more suitable. We will also offer information, advice and guidance if we do not have a course that is right for you.

There are occasions were applicants may be overqualified for a college course and in this instance we may look to offer a higher education course as an alternative.
