Centre for Academic Skills and English

The Centre for Academic Skills and English (CASE) aims to provide tailored support for all students during their time at University College Birmingham. Our mission is to enhance the student experience whilst helping students achieve their goals.

This may be in a variety of ways via:

  • The Academic Skills Centre (ASC), which provides one-to-one and small group support in academic skills for all students, whatever their level.

CASE Toolkits

Our online CASE Toolkits are available to all students at University College Birmingham (both FE and HE). In the Toolkits, you will find a range of materials designed to support your academic skills. Materials include a number of videos recorded by the CASE team, fact sheets, and quizzes. Aspects covered include:
