Applicant Days

Our Applicant Days have been designed for those who have applied to study at UCB

Once you have been made an offer of a place, you'll receive an invitation to book onto the applicant day. Our applicant days are extremely popular, so be sure to book early to secure your place.

If you haven't already applied for a course with us at UCB, visit our course pages to find out more about your study options.

Upcoming dates

Monday 15 April and Tuesday 16 April 2019 (Specialist Hair and Media Make-up only)

What is an Applicant Day?

Applicant days are course-specific days which give you the opportunity to discover your chosen course in much more detail, to help you make an informed choice about where to study. Tailored exclusively for applicants who have received an offer to study with UCB, applicant days are an essential step in your applicant journey.

On the day:

  • Presentation:

Hear from renowned make-up artist and UCB visiting lecturer, Grace Coole-Green. We also quizzed UCB student Stephanie Harrison about her appearance in Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star, so hear what she had to say. You'll also make friends and meet others starting the course.

  • Practical Activity:

Participate in a practical workshop in sculpting, hair, make-up or special effects.

  • Student Accommodation:

Take a tour of the halls of residence including The Maltings and Cambrian Hall. You can also find out more information by attending one of the accommodation presentations or speaking to staff from Student Services.

  • Additional Information

There is also the chance to find out more about Finance, Admissions, Guild of Students, Student Services, Study Support and hired@UCB (our careers, work placements and employability service).

  • Itinerary

10-45am: Registration
11am: Introductory presentation
12pm: Lunch
12.25pm: Subject-specific practical
