Alongside your academic studies, UCB recognises the importance and values of work-based placement, as part of the your study programme all college students will be required to complete an external placement organised and supported by the Employability Tutors in, hired@UCB.
The rewards and benefits of a work placement fall into many areas, you find many more skills through work and working with people. Work placements helps you build on your self-esteem. Makes you a valued person, makes you appreciate the relevance of what you are studying, it also shows how the skills you have learnt can be applied in relevant and realistic work environments.
If students are passionate about their career choice, work placements are vital.
A set of achievements, skills, understanding and personal attributes makes you more likely to gain employment and be successful in your chosen occupation, which benefits yourself and the work force.
You will gain that added value to your qualification and give you the skills to prepare you for the world of work, life after college, general career advice and support, progression onto Higher Education.
