Why come to the Welcome and Pre-enrolment Event?

The Welcome and Pre-enrolment Event has been tailored to your chosen course. You will carry out online pre-enrolment with our Admissions team before moving onto your subject-specific practical sessions. Once you book your place, you will be allocated an arrival time and you can download your personalised timetable.

The day is an essential step in your journey to becoming a student at UCB. Attendance is compulsory and booking is essential

On the day:

  • Practical activities:

From Dragon’s Den: Theme in a Box to The Big Business Quiz, Confectionery Creation, Beauty Battle or Perform CPR, you will join in with a range of fun, hands-on practical activities relating to your course. Many will have a competition element, so there are prizes to be won on the day.

  • Make new friends:

Ice breakers will give you a chance to meet others starting on your course so you can go away having made friends. To prepare you for September, you will also meet your tutors and learn more about your course, as well as having fun!

  • Pre-enrolment:

Pre-enrolment is one of the first steps towards becoming a college student at UCB. You will complete your pre-enrolment online with the Admissions team, in preparation for when you come to see us again in August with your GCSE and other qualifications results.

  • Additional information

You will also have the chance to ask any questions you may still have around finance, admissions, student services, study support, maths and English or hired@UCB (our careers, work placements and employability service). If uniform is required for your course, you will be able to order this on the day.
