UCB’s European Referendum debate is now available to watch online.
The event, which attracted more than 200 students and staff, was held at the University’s award-winning McIntyre House campus.
Arguing for the UK to Remain in the EU were former leader of Birmingham City Council Sir Albert Bore, and businessman and former Conservative MEP Philip Bushill-Matthews.
Putting the case to Leave were Bill Good, who has more than three decades experience working within manufacturing and service related companies, and Chairman of the Stratford upon Avon Conservative Association Brian Tustain.
University Secretary Richard Riley, who organised the debate, said: “It was great to see so many visitors and university members give up their lunchtime to hear from our distinguished panellists. The students’ questions provoked a passionate debate which judging by the final show of hands influenced many in the audience.”
