To apply direct to University College Birmingham, students must satisfy the following criteria: They must only wish to apply to University College Birmingham (if they would like to apply to more than one institution, they must apply via UCAS) They must not have previously applied via UCAS APPLYING THROUGH UCAS If your child would like to apply for more than one university, they must apply through UCAS. This service is available to Home, EU and Overseas applicants. To apply through UCAS, they must register in the UCAS Hub and complete the registration questions. They will then be taken to the UCAS Hub dashboard, where they’ll see a tile called ‘Your application’. They just have to click ‘Start’ to begin their application. Before they can send their application, they’ll need to pay an application fee, which is £28.50 for 2025 entry, and they can make a maximum of five choices. For the 2025 cycle, if you have been in receipt of free school meals at some point during the last six years (during your secondary education) up until the end of your final year, you will be eligible to have your application fee waived. We offer support workshops for applicants applying for higher education who are not familiar with the UCAS process - email schoolsliaison@ucb.ac.uk to book a slot. Current college or sixth form students at University College Birmingham who want to go onto a degree with us can book an appointment by emailing hired@ucb.ac.uk.
