I originally started my career in hotels working within the front of house department and restaurant. After some years in various Hospitality Management roles, I finally ended as Operations Manager of a Country House hotel. In 1999 I decided to engage in education, and whilst working as a full-time food service lecturer at UCB, undertook my BA (Hons) and then progressed onto my MSc in Hospitality with Tourism. I specialise in the Hospitality areas and live events. I am now the programme manager for the MA in Culinary Arts Management and teach on a range of modules at varying academic levels. I am a fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a member of the Institute of Hospitality.
