I trained as an N.N.E.B and worked in a number of roles ranging from a nannie in Canada, a nursery nurse in a number of Local Authority nurseries, a special school working with children with visual impairment and as a teaching assistant in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
It was while working as a teaching assistant that I began undertaking my qualifications to enable me to become a teacher in Further Education and then secured my first teaching post.
I teach and assesses on the Level 2 and 3 Early Educator courses. I am also the Lead Internal Quality Assurer for these courses ensuring that the college meets the rigorous requirements of the Awarding Organisation.
