Susan Wins High Apprenticeship Award for Health Education England

Susan Bunyan, Senior Operations Manager for West Midlands Ambulance Service, won the Higher Apprenticeship Award for her commitment and dedication to her studies and her outstanding ability to lead her team whilst ensuring all patients’ needs are met.

The awards, organised by Health Education England NHS, were held at an official presentation on Friday 10 February. Over 30 trusts around the country can enter and nominate professions across all levels.

Susan is currently completing the level 5 Higher Apprenticeship in Care Leadership and Management at University College Birmingham (UCB). The course is designed to integrate academic learning and enhance personal growth, whilst developing and progressing staff to the next level in their career.

UCB Apprenticeship Assessor, Gemma Comley, said, “I nominated Susan because of her commitment, enthusiasm and dedication. She meets all deadlines and recently achieved a first for an essential presentation which forms a vital part of the award. Winning this award, is testament to all the hard work Susan puts into her course and her obvious leadership skills in the work place”
