Beauty students attend Dermalogica Privilege Day

Level 2 and 3 Beauty Therapy students spent a day at a Dermalogica salon honing their techniques and treatments in a professional environment.

Every month, two FE students from UCB’s Beauty courses are nominated by their lecturers as Dream Maker winners and runners up in recognition of their skills and dedication. These lucky students travelled to York for a tour of the Dermalogica facilities and a chance to gain special practical experience.

The students had the chance to practice their facial treatments on one another, honing their skills and techniques and working with a variety of products. They learned how to assess a client’s skin type and choose the correct cleansers and exfoliants to use, improving their ability to conduct consultations with clients when giving treatments.

Everyone received an official certificate at the end of the day, acknowledging their skills and professional ability.
