In the 2014/15 academic year:
350 National Scholarship Programme (NSP) awards - £2,000 discount off the cost of full-time undergraduate tuition fees, for the first year of study only. Note: there are a limited number of scholarships available and these are allocated on a strictly first-come, first served basis.
A national government scheme funds half of this fee waiver, the rest being funded by UCB. You must be eligible to receive funding from Student Finance England, your household income (as calculated by Student Finance England) must be £16,190 or below (evidence must be verified) and you must have never previously studied at Hgher Education level. NSP awards are limited and allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Students cannot have a UCB Standard Tuition Fee in the same year.
Applicants must have accepted an offer of a place on a full-time taught programme at UCB and the chosen programme must be a foundation or bachelors degree.
The 2014/15 acedemic year is the final year that the Undergraduate National Scholarship Programme will run.
Do not complete the UCB scholarship form. Instead, applicants must complete in full the Student Finance England online application form using their household income www.gov.uk/studentfinance. There are no other means of application for this NSP.
UCB will use the data, supplied by the Student Loans Company to identify the first 350 eligible applicants in 2014/15. (This number was 226 in 2013/14).
The number of eligible students is expected to considerably exceed the number of scholarships available, so the earliest of applications is recommended.
