BA (Hons) Events Management

The programme is very practical, you learn the theory but you also get a lot of practical experience. It has been challenging, I have learnt a lot and gained good management skills. In year two of the course you have to organise a live event.

My group organised a talent show at a local theatre, we called it Performing Arts for Performing Hearts raising awareness and funds for the British Heart Foundations Start A Heart Appeal The appeal aims to raise £60,000 during 2009 to buy 50 Portable Defibrillators, which can be placed throughout Birmingham community sites to aid recovery in instances of cardiac arrest, improving chances of survival by up to 30%. We raised in excess of £2300 which was a great achievement.

I would not hesitate to recommend this course; it has been the best experience of my life.
