Highest Achievement in Second Year Undergraduate Study
“I really enjoy the psychological aspect of tourism” says Jessica “Looking in more depth at why people choose the destinations they do, what their expectations are and what’s needed to continually improve the tourist experience”.
Talking to Jessica you can feel her passion for the tourism industry and shows why she gained an award for the Highest Achievement in Second Year Undergraduate Study.
She recently enjoyed a study trip to Paris as part of her course, analysing visitor flows to the city’s famous Eiffel Tower.
Alongside her studies Jessica works part time at Hotel Chocolat in Solihull.
Now in her third and final year she is applying for graduate schemes with tourism companies and is also considering staying on at UCB to complete a Masters degree in Tourism.
With her added German language skills and enthusiasm for the industry we look forward to watching Jessica’s career grow.
Jessica received a prize of £100 kindly donated by the Hyatt hotel in Birmingham
