BTEC National Diploma Travel and Tourism

Eventually I want to work in events management and thought the BTEC in Travel and Tourism would be a good start. I am now doing a degree in Marketing and Events Management here at University College Birmingham.

I would definitely recommend the course and college to others, all the lecturers know what they are talking about and have real life experiences and they talk to you as an adult; as an equal and not just a number.

I had some great training opportunities on the BTEC; I completed Cabin Crew, Health & Safety and First Aid training.

I went to Canada on a 5 day trip to experience how hospitality works over there, we visited the Great Lakes and Toronto; going on a tour of the City and up the CN Tower. It was the best trip I’ve ever been on; made some great friends and had great fun.

Coming to UCB has made me grow up, I have made friends for life and I’m really glad I came here.
