For me, there was no best part of coming to UCB – it was a combination of many factors. Personal growth was one of these factors, as the University is so diverse because of the amount of international students. I was able to learn about these cultures and open my mind to new understandings. The lecturers are brilliant, and they keep the lectures interesting. Deep conversations about theories and reality forced me to think outside of the box and become more of an individual.

I am now the Food and Beverage Operations Manager at D’Aria Function Venue, which is a wine estate in Durbanville, South Africa. I am also consulting privately for restaurants.

With the knowledge I gained from UCB, I felt equipped to take on all challenges in hospitality businesses. Every day is different in the hospitality industry. New challenges arise and, with help from what I studied at UCB, I learn how to overcome them. If there is a challenge that I fear, I take it head on, and enjoy doing so.
