Missed the UCAS deadline? It's okay, there's still time to apply

If you've missed the UCAS deadline, don't panic

Missing the UCAS deadline doesn't mean you've missed your chance of going to university in 2017. You'll be pleased to know that you can still apply to UCB. Here's what you need to do next...

Apply direct to UCB

UCB Direct is the new admissions service that UCB are implementing for the Admissions cycle. This exciting opportunity allows you to apply for an undergraduate degree at UCB free of charge and without having to complete a lengthy application form.

Are you eligible to use UCB Direct?

If you meet the entry requirements for your chosen degree then you may be eligible to apply directly to University College Birmingham.

To apply directly to UCB you must satisfy the following:

  • You must not have previously applied on UCAS this year
  • You must have your results and have met the entry criteria for your chosen course
  • You must want to apply to UCB only
  • You must have completed the UCB Direct form and have received confirmation from the Admissions team that you are eligible for an Unconditional offer

To enquire if you are eligible for an unconditional offer, please email admissions@ucb.ac.uk or call 0121 604 1040 and a member of the Admissions team will confirm if we can make you an unconditional offer.

If you have already enquired using the UCB Direct form or if you have a query regarding an existing application then please contact our Admissions team:

UK Applicants: admissions@ucb.ac.uk or call us on 0121 604 1040

Apply through UCAS

Don’t worry if you have missed the UCAS deadline, we are still considering applications for all of our programmes.

Below is a handy guide of what to do next:

Didn't use all five choices and didn't accept any offers

If you haven't used all five choices yet, you can still add more in Track if it's before 30 June and you've not accepted or declined any offers.

If you’re not holding any offers after this date you'll normally be entered into Clearing.

Extra Choices

You might be able to add another choice if you've received decisions from all five universities or colleges and weren't accepted, or if you declined the offers you received.

Extra is a free service available for you to apply to one course at a time between 25 February and 4 July. If Extra is available to you, it'll show up as a button when you sign in to track your application.

Not applied or registered with UCAS

As we still have places available on all of our courses you can apply until 30 June.

If you make an application through UCAS after 30 June, your application is  automatically entered into Clearing.
