Profile
I specialise in the field of Languages and Linguistics. After completing a Masters in Linguistics, I spent several years working abroad in France and Africa as a Language consultant. I have experience in tailor-made language courses as well as an expertise in creating vocational language materials. I have collaborated on a European funded project and have also contributed to the CiLT Vocational Language Resource bank. Alongside this, I am a qualified translator and a Member of the Charted Institute of Linguists. I specialise in French but also teach Spanish to Beginners and Improvers level.

Module Leader for Lower and Upper Intermediate French, Level 5. Spanish for Beginners, Improvers. Lower Intermediate and Upper Intermediate.
Research interests and scholarly activity
Language teaching and methodology:
I have undertaken several Erasmus teacher exchanges to France and Spain and I am interested in new and innovative methods of teaching languages. I have developed a Languages Tab on the UCB online network, which allows students to access language websites, and materials for either self-study or as an accompaniment to language modules taught at UCB.
