Culinary Arts Management MA
UCB’s Culinary Arts Management course had the exact modules that I wanted to take. The practical component of the course was also very important to me. I was looking at similar courses in the USA, but the duration of this particular course at UCB was more suited to me, because it considerably lessens the amount of time I spend away from my family. It really helped that the application process was smooth, and the International Office was very helpful and communicative.
I have had some intense practical sessions, which I feel has really contributed to my skills. The UCB facilities and kitchens are well-equipped and I feel like I am always working to a high industry-standard level. Also, at UCB you are able to sell your products after they are made, and this is something that motivates me to always do my best. The tutors are supportive and knowledgeable and their guidance is industry-focused so it can be applied to the working environment, which is very important to me.
This course will really help me with my aspirations to become a food lecturer, as a postgraduate qualification is the minimum requirement. For the same reason, it will also help me pursue academic research, should I choose to go down that route.
I would definitely recommend UCB for students wanting to do Culinary Arts Management. It is one of very few universities that offer this particular course at various stages of qualification, and they provide a great amount of practical experience to go with it.
