Hospitality with Tourism Management MSc
The course appealed to me as it appeared to be highly vocational and the modules really reflected the areas which you need to have a knowledge of to be considered as a serious applicant within the hospitality and tourism sector. The history and reputation of UCB and the accreditation links with the University of Birmingham also factored in my decision. Furthermore, I wanted to study in a multicultural city, Birmingham’s location is perfect for exploring other cities in the UK.
I have really enjoyed studying MSc, the mix of nationalities at UCB really adds to the course as you gain a different perspective. The English language support service, particularly the free English language checking service is amazing, they are so helpful. Also the quality of teaching staff is first class. They all possess a background in hospitality or tourism and have extensive industry experience. All this really provides a very practical approach to management.
I completed most of the taught elements of the course and now I need to complete the Masters research project. I’m planning to explore the feasibility of starting a niche tourism business around my home city of Lahore.
