Learning and Teaching MA

I completed both my first degree and PGCE at UCB, so I already knew that continuing my studies here would be a great opportunity. My experience at UCB went above and beyond my expectations. The staff were very supportive and encouraging, making sure that all students on their course remained positive. I always found UCB to be a reassuring, friendly environment.

Since completing my MA I have been working at UCB as a Personal Tutor and Childcare Lecturer on Further Education courses. I also teach Level 2, Level 3 and apprenticeship students, which means that I can lecture in a classroom as well as go out and visit the apprentices which keeps me up-to-date with developments in the industry.

One of the things that really stood out for me as a student was the staff. I was really inspired by their experience in the industry and they were also great role models. It had a real positive impact on my development. With UCB being a specialist institution, people immediately recognise it in the field of education and I am proud to be a part of the team. The transition from student to employee was very fluid and I’m happy to be working with such great people.
